About the Artist

What a privilege to live near the sea year round. Breathing in the freshness of the ocean air renews one’s soul and feeds the creative spirit. Being witness to the magnificent beauty and abundance of life surrounding you is nothing short of a spiritual experience. As an artist, I try to take in all that surrounds and moves me and use my voice to tell all how I am changed by it.

Whether on site or in the studio, I divide my time between California, Naples, Florida and Martha’s Vineyard. An award-winning artist, I am an artist and board member of the Martha’s Vineyard Art Association, chairing the program committee which develops events to link the MVAA to the greater island art community. I am also honored to be a member of AireMV, a collaborative group of Martha’s Vineyard Plein Air painters who work together and hold an annual exhibit at the Old Sculpin Gallery. I am an associate artist member and frequent exhibitor at the Old Lyme Art Association in Connecticut and the Naples Art Association in Florida. My work is found in private collections across the country and Australia.

Born and raised in Springfield, MA, the daughter of a self-taught commercial artist, the artist is married to her husband of 50 years. As a gift to themselves, last August they gathered their entire family together for a week’s exploration of Glacier National Park and continued on for a month-long National Park tour of Wyoming, Utah and Arizona. They have four grown children and seven grandchildren.
